THURSDAY NIGHT JAZZ

Thursday Night Jazz Series is presented in partnership with The Jazz Gallery for the 2018-2019 season. This compelling concert series features some of today’s finest emerging jazz musicians performing in the Community Gallery, at Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning on every second Thursday of each month from October 2018 through June 2019.

EVERY 1ST FRIDAY

FIRST FRIDAY SERIES

The First Friday Series aims to be an incubator for creative individuals and emerging artists who need a stage to perform. Artists of all disciplines are welcome to submit concepts of unfinished work to be refined at JCAL and to perform their work in the front of a live audience.

All program on First Friday take place at 7:30PM.
Suggested Donation is welcome to support the artists.

ANNUALLY IN SEPTEMBER  

MAKING MOVES DANCE FESTIVAL

Making Moves Dance Festival is an annual dance celebration held at the Jamaica Performing Arts Center (JPAC) and designed to promote new and emerging dance companies based in New York City.  The festival encourages choreographers to take on and perform bold ideas with a progressive/contemporary nature, and heavily emphasizes the authentic expression and representation of cultures and languages.

SCHOOL ASSEMBLY SERIES

All programs are carefully selected to meet school curriculum and are booked for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in order to easily plan for school trips. All shows start at 10:30 am.

A fun filled performance series designed for the whole family.

QUEENS INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL

The International Children’s Festival, a two-day fun-filled celebration, is designed to encourage local businesses to invest in the community in addition to bringing in high quality performances in music, dance, and theater; and paired with hands-on activities to inspire young people and families to participate in the arts.

ANNUALLY IN FEBRUARY

BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION

A month long cultural program dedicated to celebrate the great Black American artists and culture in all forms.
