Share Your Stories Through JCAL!

Connection and creativity are vital for building strong communities, especially in difficult times. Therefore, JCAL is launching #jcalAmericanStories, an online platform for snapshots of life and creativity from across the U.S. as well as right here in NYC and Queens. We want to know your answers to the following questions:

What does creativity look like in your life?

How do you tell your stories through art?

Submit images, videos, and short texts through Instagram by tagging #jcalAmericanStories and @jamaicaartscenter, or submit through our website. Your stories will be featured in the gallery below.

Whether or not you consider yourself an artist, all are encouraged to share. Look out for regular prompts to help get those creative juices flowing.

For those in Queens who would like to share your experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic, add #QueensCovid and @queensmemory to your posts on Instagram to also be included in the Queens Memory digital archive.

Question of the Week:

Hardship can bring out the best and the worst in people. In these difficult times, how do you create the world you want to see?
