Get to know Brenda Jones, the Playwright/Moderator of "Meet the Playwright"

Meet the Playwright moderator Brenda Jones is a native of Colorado but moved to New York City to continue her studies in the art of live theater. It is safe to assume that she switched career fields - following two solid years of eating the ‘Diet of Struggling Actors Everywhere’: ramen noodles.

However, her interest in theater never wavered, nor her love of the written word. Ms. Jones works with actors and casts in the intricacies of script studies, character development, and bringing the written script to life.

Her love of the written word has resulted in a life-long, unofficial status as a ‘bookaholic.’ After a 30+ year career in advertising sales and marketing in television and print, Brenda returned to books – as the editor-in-chief at Three-Legged Elephant Publishing, an independent book publisher with a concentration on assisting new authors through the business maze of transforming manuscripts to printed books.

A long-time member of female empowerment organization 4 Real Women International, Inc., she specializes in translating and teaching the intricacies of the workplace to women determined to invest in their own personal and professional growth.

Meet The Playwright is an exciting new concept at JCAL, and Ms. Jones is proud to be a part of this endeavor.
