I am choreographer dedicated to create movement-based performance works that are inspired by the art creation from Asian art makers and culture. I strongly resonate with the sentiments expressed in their works, and they inspire me to express my artistic ideas. In my works, I draw inspirations from various genres of art such as literature, film, performance, philosophy, and visual arts. I deeply believed in the body’s capacities to communicate ideas and emotions and am invested in exploring detailed, delicate, and physical movements to communicate my choreographic idea. My movement aesthetic is influenced by various contemporary/modern dance forms, ballet, and eastern movement arts such as Tai Chi and Martial Arts.
