Support JCAL
The Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning is a non-profit, multidisciplinary urban arts center serving the residents of Southeast Queens and New York City. More than 25,000 people of all ages and backgrounds participate in our education, performing arts, and visual arts programs annually.
Today, the Center's neo-Renaissance building features a 1,650 square foot visual arts gallery, a 99-seat proscenium theater, three painting and three dance studios, a ceramics studio, and a soundproof music studio. Our programs for children, teens, and adults include a multicultural series of music, theater, and dance performances; contemporary visual arts exhibitions; free/low-cost arts and educational programs for youth; in-school artist residencies; and an extensive series of affordable workshops in fine and applied arts, drama, dance, creative writing, and music.
JCAL's free and low-cost
programs are made possible with generous support from our contributors.
Without donations from government agencies, foundations, corporations,
and individuals like you, our popular workshops, concerts, and
other special events would cost considerably more. Your support
makes it possible for us to give all children, teens, and adults
in Southeast Queens and New York City — regardless of their
means — opportunities to let their inner artists loose.
As we celebrate our
35th anniversary with many upcoming special events, your gift
is more important now than ever. Thanks for your help in making
our 35th anniversary year the most memorable yet.
