The Landmark Project
The Jamaica Performing Arts Center:
- The Landmark Project (JPAC), located at
- 153rd Street on Jamaica Avenue, is a premier
- state-of the-art, mid-size, performance complex.
- JPAC, housed in a completely renovated 1858
- landmark building, the former First Reformed
- Dutch Church of Jamaica, will become the area's
- arts hub- featuring a premier state-of-the-art,
- 400-seat multi-purpose performance space that
- will offer theatre productions, music concerts,
- film festivals, dance performances and arts
- education.
Additionally, JPAC will offer affordable
performance and rehearsal space for other
professional arts entities as well as civic and
community groups. The facility will be fully
equipped for video and telecommunications
conferencing, making it an efficient meeting
and seminar space for businesses and
corporations.
JPAC Features
•The nave with its 30-foot ceiling features
a 400-seat flexible multi-use performance
space, and the 23x27 foot stage is
equipped with state-of-the-art sound and
lighting systems.
•Orchestra level seating is removable; the
space can be utilized for a private
reception/dinner seating approximately
200-240 people.
•The upper level has a balcony with fixed
seating, the control room, and a
seminar/meeting room with video
conferencing capabilities.
•The basement consists of two chorus
dressing rooms, public bathrooms,
rehearsal and workshop spaces and a
warming kitchen for caterers.
